COMMIT FOR TEENS

Let’s just admit it. Teens don’t want to take our health and wellness advice, even if their parent knows what they are talking about! Recommendations coming from a professional outside of the home simply land better. Build in some personalized coaching, tailored education, weekly accountability and straight talk, and your teen can make some REAL progress!

As a former high school and collegiate athlete, and current mom of a teen (and a tween, and an 8 year old) and I have a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience to share with teens who are interested in both performing and feeling better. I love teaching teens about creating a healthier lifestyle through nutrition, sleep improvement, stress management, organization and more. My experience balancing a double major, sports, work and extra curriculars in college helps me teach them about time management and prioritizing what is truly important. As for nutrition, I teach a balanced plate approach - they learn to eat according to their daily needs. How to eat on training days, how to eat to recover, how to properly hydrate are all covered. As part of their dietary education, they even learn some cooking so they can start taking a little ownership of their fueling needs.

Parents, please be aware that none of this coaching is focused explicitly on weight-loss, nor do I coach teens who are not interested in my services. However, if they are interested and ready to COMMIT to themselves, it can be a life changing experience that not only improves their life and performance now, but puts them on a trajectory for incredible success both in college and adulthood. If they build the habits young, they will reap the benefits for the rest of their life.

Introductory calls free are required with both a parent and a teen before starting a program. I also prefer to work with teens in person as much as possible, ideally in their own home in the evening or on the weekend. A three month commitment is recommended to cement some actual long-term behavior change; however, I do realize some kids just need some "spot training" here and there so I will show some flexibility in my individualized programming.

WHAT THE 3 MONTH PROGRAM INCLUDES:

60-90 minute kick off meeting with teen and 15-20 minute meeting with a parent to address needs and goals

Weekly meetings, in person if possible lasting 45-60 minutes

Midweek check-ins via text and availability to answer texts and emails anytime

Topics covered can include nutrition, hydration, sleep improvement, study habits, organizational skills, recovery, mindset, stress management, light cooking and more

Plans start at $350/month (discounts for first responder, teacher or military families apply)

There is a transportation fee for anything more than 10 miles from my home by Jesuit High School.

Hourly services are $75/hour.
