Commit for Teens
Let’s just admit it. Teens don’t want to take our health and wellness advice, even if their parent knows what they are talking about! Recommendations coming from a professional outside of the home simply land better. Build in some personalized coaching, tailored education, weekly accountability and straight talk, and your teen can make some REAL progress!
As a former high school and collegiate athlete and current mom of two teens and a 9 year old, I have a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience to share with teens who are interested in both performing and feeling better. I love teaching teens about creating a healthier lifestyle through nutrition, sleep improvement, stress management, organization and more. My experience balancing a double major, sports, work and extra curriculars in college helps me teach them about time management and prioritizing what is truly important. As for nutrition, I teach a balanced plate approach - they learn to eat according to their daily needs. How to eat on training days, how to eat to recover, how to properly hydrate are all covered. As part of their dietary education, they even learn some cooking so they can start taking a little ownership of their fueling needs.
Parents, please be aware that none of this coaching is focused explicitly on weight-loss, nor do I coach teens who are not interested in my services. However, if they are interested and ready to COMMIT to themselves, it can be a life changing experience that not only improves their life and performance now, but puts them on a trajectory for incredible success both in college and adulthood. If they build the habits young, they will reap the benefits for the rest of their life.
Introductory calls are free and required with both a parent and a teen before starting a program. I also prefer to work with teens in person as much as possible, ideally in their own home in the evening or on the weekend. A three month commitment is recommended to cement some actual long-term behavior change; however, I do realize some kids just need some "spot training" here and there so I also work on an hourly basis. If there are financial concerns, please let me know and I will do my best to work with you.
WHAT THE 3 MONTH PROGRAM INCLUDES:
60-90 minute kick off meeting with teen and 15-20 minute meeting with a parent to address needs and goals
Weekly meetings, in person if possible lasting 45-60 minutes
Midweek check-ins via text and availability to answer texts and emails anytime
Topics covered can include nutrition, hydration, sleep improvement, study habits, organizational skills, recovery, mindset, stress management, light cooking and more
Plans start at $350/month (discounts for first responder, teacher or military families apply)
There is a transportation fee for anything more than 10 miles from my home by Jesuit High School
Hourly services are $85/hour
A RECENT TESTIMONIAL:
"We're all in the same boat with teenage athletes, I'm sure - it doesn't matter what I cook or what we say here at home - our kids often think they know better based upon some nonsense they're getting online or things they're hearing from friends. So often my food and health conversations go in one ear and out the other.
But also, I'm sure like many of you, my 3 kids are totally different. Eat differently, metabolize differently, and work out in different manners. It's a challenge I know we all deal with.
Anyways, I had Anne meet with our oldest son (17yo water polo player) over the break. Having two teenagers, she's no stranger to their attitudes and spouted BS/wayward ideas about protein. She spent a good hour with him working through his schedule and his food choices. She gently redirected him on some misinformation and presented him with some great visuals about how he should be eating, substitutions he could be making, the RIGHT amount of protein and carbs and how to use those, etc. They even worked up a list of grab & go snacks for him to keep him fueled throughout the day.
She was fantastic! It was great to see her connect with our son and, more importantly, I've seen good changes in him since." J.K.
Testimonials:
"Working with Anne has been an absolute game-changer for our son, who is on a competitive soccer team (MLS-2). Over the course of just six weeks, he was able to gain 12 healthy pounds—something we never thought possible in such a short time. But even more impressive was how Anne helped him develop a consistent and balanced eating schedule that fuels his body for both growth and performance on and off the field.
Even though we, as parents, tried everything to guide him. Like many kids his age, he didn’t always take our advice seriously. But when Anne stepped in, everything changed.
Our son now eats with purpose, has more energy during games and practices, and feels stronger and more confident overall. Anne took the time to really understand his needs, kept things simple and positive, and made nutrition something our son actually enjoys learning about, now he reads the labels on every food he eats and ingredients which is not so typical of a young teen to do on daily basis . We’re so thankful for the impact Anne has had not just on his physical health, but on his mindset and habits for life. THANK YOU ANNE!"

"Anne helped me a lot in my freshman year when I was starting my first water polo season. She helped me understand how to create balanced meals, the importance of eating all meals of the day, as well as how to plan not only for meals but how to schedule my life. At the time I had discovered that I have a dairy allergy, she guided me to understand meal labels and how to recognize foods I could eat, as well as how to portion out my food. On top of this, Anne taught me how to workout consistently, and workout with a healthy mindset whether I am in season or off. Due to the lessons I had learned, I grew healthier, I learned how to properly fuel my body, and I gained a consistent workout routine. Anne’s lessons have helped me significantly throughout my journey through high school and self-discovery."

"Working with Anne has truly been a blessing. Her impact goes far beyond workouts—she’s helped my girls (15 and 18) become more mindful of their nutrition and health choices, even when temptation strikes. They’re still watching what they eat, focusing on their protein, and staying active. Anne has genuinely changed their lives for the better. Thank you, Anne!"

"Working with Anne has been a game changer in setting my teenagers up for success in their athletic and life endeavors. As a mother of two multi-sport kids, an 18-year old son and a 15-year old daughter with very different nutritional needs and eating habits, during her meetings and discussion with them she has really made the difference in their success on and off the courts and fields. She has been a great resource for me in terms of my menu planning and how I can support the journey to give their bodies the best tools to succeed. She provided me with recipe tricks, new products that the kids could add to their meal rotation that I did not know about, the timing and types of snack and drinks on game day, and even got my very picky teen boy to try some new fruits and vegetables on her watch. She is also a safe space for the kids to chat with about their goals and expectations which is never a bad thing when it comes to teenagers. I hope that Anne will continue to be a part of our family's health and wellness journey over the next few years of high school, and I am grateful to have her as our secret weapon for success!
