Our favorite “pre-workout” slushie
Sacramento summers are crazy hot (45 days over 100 so far this year) and sports practices usually land around the hottest time of the day. My son is playing football and my girls are playing soccer; I am coaching one of their teams so I am braving the heat, as well. Before practice, we’ve been enjoying this hydrating, nourishing “pre-workout” slushie with fruit fresh from our orchard. There are no added sugars or artificial dyes, just nature’s goodness! Fill the whole blender with these ingredients:
Lots of seedless watermelon
2 peaches, remove the pits and the skin if you prefer
10 ripe, destemmed strawberries
Juice of 1 lime
Lots of ice
Blend well and serve immediately!
